Their biological incubators and other product lines have features not offered by other companies and are the preferred choice of universities, colleges, government institutions and businesses both domestically and internationally. Their facility encompasses all engineering, design, fabrication, and construction of biological incubators and other product lines, allowing Percival Scientific to maintain complete control of the manufacturing process. Plant Growth Refrigerator

Incubators:
Generally have the lowest light intensity or no lights, and have the most shelves. They can be used for: insects, bacteria, algae, fungus, butteflies, nematodes, water testing and other bioassays. Not suitable for plants.

Dew Formation:
For plant pathogen work. They are used with mature plants but do not have enough light for actual plant propagation or growth.

Algae: Growth chamber

Seed Germination:
Low level of light and high numer of shelves, spaced 6.67 cm, which are on rail assemblies to slide in-and-out. Available with and without humidity.

Control Systems

Reach in Plant Growth:
E series are smaller sized chambers with 500 micomoles of light and designed for plant growth which require a medium level of light, such as turf and field grasses, cotton or some vegetable crops.

PGC series are largest chambers available with a light level of near 1000 micromoles.Mostly used for field/cereal crops and other plants that require a high level of light such as citrus, berries, other fruits and tomatoes.

Low Temperature:
Low temperature chambers to measure cold hardiness, freeze temperatures, and temperature series.

Environmental Control Rooms:
Custom walk in chambers are available for many applications. Please call for details.

Drosophilia:
All of our drosophila chambers utilize have continuously running condensing units and have greater temperature uniformity across multiple points of each shelf. Their Intellus Ultra Controller which allows you to control temperature, humidity (optional), CO2 (optional) and lighting. Intellus Web Server (optional) lets you program and monitor your chamber from your desk, laptop or phone.

Plant Tissue Culture:
Specifically designed for plant tissue culture. They have a slightly higher light level and have a special air flow that is designed to minimize condesation on Petri dish lids. They may support plants for short time periods.

Arabidopsis:
Specifically designed for growth of Arabidopsis thaliana with a higher light level. They will work for plants that require lower leight levels such as tobacco and alfalfa.
