 Process Sensors

Process Sensors Corporation of is a premier manufacturer of IR temperature and thermal imaging products. They offer a wide range of simple to sophisticated, non-contact infrared temperature sensors to meet the most demanding on-line industrial process applications and OEM price/performance requirements. These are used in Environmental monitoring, Natural gas utilities, Power generation & Processing, Pulp & Paper manufacturing and other industries.

Sirius SS and SI " Self Contained" Pyrometer Series

The Sirius line of Pyrometers was developed to meet the growing demand for small, compact and easy-to-install sensors with first-class optical and electronic characteristics. Sirius-Pyrometers provide digital/analog outputs and operate at short wavelengths, therefore are an excellent choice for measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals above 250°C.

These pyrometers offer adjustable focus optics and are exceptionally robust due to the fact that the self contained IR sensor has no mechanical moving parts, and because the lens, detector and electronics are contained in a stainless steel IP65 housing. By utilizing digital signal processing, the Sirius line exceeds standard analog pyrometers as far as precision and repeatability are concerned.

Optical Alignment: Aiming of the pyrometer on the measured object is facilitated by a precise laser spot, which indicates the center of the target area. The optical axis is aligned with the mechanical axis of the sensor housing. The laser can be switched on via a laser button on the interconnecting cable by a remote contact or from the PSC Win software.
