The Fox Model FT3 Thermal Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter measures two important process variables in one rugged instrument.

The Model FT3 measures gas flow rate in standard units without the need for temperature and pressure compensation.

The CAL-V™ feature is an in-situ calibration routine that validates the flow meter's accuracy by testing the functionality of the sensor and it associated signal processing circuitry.

Model FT3 Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter Insertion

Model FT3 Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter - Insertion

The Fox Model FT3 Thermal Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter measures two important process variables in one rugged instrument. The Model FT3 measures gas flow rate in standard units without the need for temperature or pressure compensation. It provides isolated 4 to 20 mA and pulse outputs for flow rate and a 4 to 20 mA output for process gas temperature. The pulse output is normally used for totalization.

The Model FT3 insertion meter is easily installed by drilling a 3/4" hole in the pipe and welding on a 3/4" NPT coupling. A Fox supplied compression fitting secures the probe in place.

The Model FT3 is supplied with 316 stainless steel wetted materials standard or Hastelloy C-276 as an option. A USB connection is standard (free FT3 View™ Software). Interface options include HART and RS485 Modbus.

The CAL-V™ feature is an in-situ calibration routine that validates the flow meter's accuracy by testing the functionality of the sensor and it associated signal processing circuitry.

Common Features for Insertion Fox Model FT3 Flow Meter:

  • Probes: 4” to 36”
  • Simple installation with weld-o-let and compression fitting
  • 316SS probe and sensor standard; Hastelloy C276 optional
  • Measures process gas and temperature
  • A USB connection is standard (free FT3 View™ Software); Optional HART and RS485 Modbus
  • Optional on-board display and configuration panel

Model FT3 Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter Inline

Model FT3 Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter - Inline

The Fox Model FT3 Thermal Gas Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter measures two important process variables in one rugged instrument. The Model FT3 measures gas flow rate in standard units without the need for temperature or pressure compensation. It provides isolated 4 to 20 mA and pulse outputs for flow rate, and a 4 to 20 mA output for process gas temperature. The pulse output is normally used for totalization.

The Model FT3 inline flow meter is available in 1/4" to 6" sizes and includes built in flow conditioners that eliminate the need for long, straight pipe runs. The inline meter can be ordered with flange or NPT end connections.

The Model FT3 is supplied with 316 stainless steel wetted materials standard or Hastelloy C-276 as an option. Flow bodies are 316 stainless steel standard; 2" to 4" flow bodies can be ordered with A106 Carbon Steel flow bodies as an option. A USB connection is standard (free FT3 View™ Software). Interface options include HART and RS485 Modbus.

The CAL-V™ feature is an in-situ calibration routine that validates the flow meter's accuracy by testing the functionality of the sensor and it associated signal processing circuitry.
