The Need
Natural gas quality is an increasingly significant issue for both pipeline operations and integrity. Operators need a reliable, easy to use means to verify gas quality, or the performance of on-line gas quality analyzers, at remote locations. A portable, reliable, and accurate means of gas quality analysis is needed.
The Solution
Chandler has eliminated the hassle and inaccuracy of portable gas analysis. Now field technicians can perform the required gas quality tests with ease where they are most accurate ... on site. On-site analysis not only eliminates the concerns over accurate sample acquisition and transport, it also eliminates the DOT concerns over transporting natural gas samples.
The 292 is designed around field-proven chromatographic techniques that are defined by ASTM, GPA, AGA, and ISO. This portable BTU Analyzer Chromatograph is truly "operator friendly." Sophisticated software does all the work of compositional analysis, and calculations of BTU value, Wobbe index, compressibility, and relative density (specific gravity). Results are available on the panel digital display and can be printed or transferred to a computer. The
analysis is very easy to conduct with a simple sample line connection and a press of the START TEST button.
The 292's internal data storage can retain information about multiple analyses from dozens of different test locations.
