The Rosemount Tank Gauging System is world leading in tank management, based on the reliable and maintenance-free radar level gauges. The system can be designed for SIL 3 safety.
The Rosemount solution integrates easily with your existing network, DCS or host computer system. It features emulation possibilities of other vendors´ level devices, so independent of measurement technology, a system upgrade is easy
A Rosemount Tank Gauging system can be based on WirelessHART, be traditionally wired, or integrate both system design types. These can be used on tanks in Environmental monitoring, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Natural gas utilities, Power generation & Processing, Pulp & Paper manufacturing

Rosemount 5900S with Horn Antenna is used on 200 mm (8-in.) or larger nozzles on fixed roof tanks.
Rosemount 5900S with an LPG/LNG antenna is installed in a still-pipe and measures the level of liquefied gas. It is rated up to 40 bar (600 psi) and is designed to operate in a wide temperature range; -170 to 90 °C (-274 to 194 °F) in tank.
Rosemount 5900S with a parabolic antenna is used for measurements in both fixed and floating roof tanks. The antenna design provides high gain and signal to noise ratio, suitable for measurements on bitumen, asphalt, condensing and sticky products.
Rosemount 5900S with an array antenna is used in existing still-pipes. Typical applications include crude oil tanks with floating roofs, and gasoline / product tanks with or without inner floating roofs. Two versions are available, fixed and inclined.

Rosemount 5300 is a premium 2-wire guided wave radar transmitter for level measurements on liquids, to be used in a wide range of medium accuracy applications under various tank conditions.
Rosemount 5400 is a reliable 2-wire non-contact radar level transmitter for liquids, to be used in a wide range of medium accuracy applications under various tank conditions.

Temperature & Water Interface
Product temperature is an important parameter for accurate custody transfer and inventory measurement in liquid bulk storage tanks.
The following temperature transmitters and sensors are available in a Raptor system:
-
High accuracy Rosemount 2240S with 565/566 or 765 Sensors (3-or 4-wire sensor with up to 16 spot elements) for custody transfer/inventory control.
Rosemount 565 is a high quality multiple spot temperature sensor.
Rosemount 566 is the cryogenic version.
Rosemount 765 combines the temperature sensors with an integrated water level sensor
-
Medium accuracy 644 Temperature Transmitter with 65 Single Point Temperature Sensor for cost-efficient measurement / operational control

The ultra-stable high performance 2240S Multi-input Temperature Transmitter is approved for demanding custody transfer applications, which require very accurate level and temperature measurements for net standard volume calculations.
A number of spot elements are placed at different heights to provide a tank temperature profile and an average temperature. Only fully immersed elements are used to determine product temperature. The MST can be integrated with a water level sensor.
Single point temperature sensors are used in applications with lower requirements on volume measurements, or when it is not possible to use a multiple spot temperature sensor due to installation restrictions.
The water level sensor is used to determine the water content in a tank. At the bottom of an oil storage tank there is water and by measuring the water level it is possible to calculate the correct product volume in the tank.
Pressure
When the level gauge is connected with a pressure transmitter near the bottom of the tank, the density of the product can be calculated and presented. One or more transmitters with different scalings can be used on the same tank to measure vapor and liquid pressure.
Rosemount 3051S is the standard pressure transmitter supplied with the Raptor system for in-liquid mounting. It has an industry leading performance with 0.025% accuracy.

Communication & Accessories
The Raptor system can be equipped with a wide range of supplementary devices such as switches, display and communication units.
Rosemount 2120 for fixed roofs, is used when a separate alarm switch is required to prevent overfill situations. There is also a wireless version available, Rosemount 2160.
Rosemount 2160 Field Communication Unit polls data from field devices via the 2410 hub and stores the values in a buffer memory. When a request for data is received, the it can send data from up to 32 tanks.
Rosemount 2165/2175 Field Communication Unit is a data concentrator that continuously polls data from field devices from different vendors, 2410 tank hubs, other field communication units, Enraf CIU:s etc and stores data in a buffer memory.
Rosemount 2180 Field Bus Modem is required for connecting the field bus to the control room TankMaster PC. The PC connection can either be RS232 or USB.
Rosemount 2230 presents inventory tank gauging data such as level, temperature, and pressure. This backlit user-friendly display is designed for tough environments, and can be installed in hazardous areas, on the tank roof or at the foot of the tank.
Rosemount 2410 is handling communication between the field devices and the control room. It is available in two versions, for single or multiple tanks. It also feeds power to the units on the Tankbus.
