380 Series Btu System
The Data Industrial® Series 380 Btu meter from Badger Meter is an all-in-one energy usage package for monitoring hydronic heating or cooling systems. The Series 380 Btu meter can accurately measure flow and temperature differential to compute energy. Utilizing either BACnet or Modbus RS-485 communications protocols or a scaled pulse output, the meter can interface with many existing control
systems.
The rugged design incorporates an impeller flow sensor and two temperature probes. One temperature probe is conveniently mounted directly in the flow sensor tee. The second temperature probe is placed on either the supply or the return line depending on the application. These minimal connections help simplify installation and save time.
The Series 380 Btu meter offers cost savings over other systems offered on the market today. The integration of flow and temperature sensors, along with metering components provide a single solution for metering making it possible to meter energy where it hasn't been cost effective before. Download

250-228 Flow Sensors - 1/2" - 4"
The Data Industrial Series 228/250 flow sensors feature a six bladed impeller design with a proprietary non magnetic sensing mechanism. The forward swept impeller shape provides higher, more consistent torque than four bladed impeller designs and is less prone to be fouled by water borne debris. The forward curved shape coupled with the absence of magnetic drag provides improved operation and
repeatability even at lower flow rates. This is especially true where the impeller is exposed to metallic or rust particles found in steel or iron pipes. As the liquid flow turns the impeller, a low impedance square wave signal is
transmitted with a frequency proportional to the flow rate.
The signal can travel up to 2000' between the flow sensor and the display unit without the need for amplification. All sensors except
irrigation versions are supplied with 20' of Belden type 9320 two conductor shielded cable. Download brochure 228 Flow Sensor. Download brochure 250 Flow Sensor.

Series 200 Irrigation Flow Sensors - 1/2" or larger
The Data Industrial IR Series flow sensors are "environmentally hardened" versions of the standard DI flow indicators. These IR versions are specifically designed for installation in underground vaults that
might be subjected to flooding. The IR series feature a six bladed impeller design with a proprietary, non magnetic sensing mechanism. The impeller shape coupled with the absence of magnetic drag provides accuracy and repeatability throughout the flow range of the sensor. As the liquid flow turns the impeller, a low impedance 8 VDC square wave signal is transmitted with a frequency proportional to the flow rate. This signal can travel up to 2000 feet between the sensor and the display unit without the need for amplification. The
flow indicators are configured with two 48 inch single conductor leads.
Flow Sensor Applications:
-
Irrigation Systems--mounted underground in valve boxes.
-
Municipal Water Systems--mounted in meter pits or vaults.
-
Groundwater Monitoring-mounted on outdoor piping.
-
Any outdoor or underground location with standing water, snow or ice problems

PVC Sensor Series - 1/2" - 4"
The Data Industrial flow sensor features a six bladed impeller design with a proprietary, non magnetic sensing mechanism. The forward swept impeller shape provides higher, more constant torque than four bladed impeller designs and is less prone to be fouled by water borne debris. The forward curved shape coupled with the absence of magnetic drag provides improved operation and repeatability even at lower rates. This is more important
where the impeller may be exposed to metallic or rust particles found in steel or iron pipes. As liquid flow turns the impeller, a low impedance 8VDC square wave signal is transmitted with a frequency proportional to the flow rate. This signal can travel up to 2000' between the sensor and the display unit without the need for amplification. All the sensors are supplied with 20' of Belden type 9320 (two conductor shield) cable. 4000 Series Sensor - 1/2", 3/4", 1"
The 4000 series flow sensor is an in-line, flow-through design using a tangential six bladed impeller.
The 4000 series is available in 1/2", 3/4", 1" pipe sizes and is molded of PVC or PVDF materials. The compact molded design allows the 4000 series to replace old style magnetic sensors with little or no piping changes.
The proprietary non-magnetic detection circuit is available with two outputs: a low impedance 3-wire 5 volt DC square wave signal (that can be pulled up to 20 volts) capable of traveling up to 2000 feet without amplification, or a 2-wire loop powered 4-20 mA current analog signal. These two signal
formats are compatible with most data acquisition or PLC equipment.
Data Industrial also manufactures digital displays, scalars, transmitters and control relays for use with the 4000 series.
PVDF versions are compatible with all PVDF piping systems including SYGEF, KYNAR, SUPER PROLINE and SANITECH. Adapters are available for use with other plastic or metallic piping systems. Download brochure.

Wireless Sensors - 1 1/2", 2", 3", 4"
This wireless flow sensor system includes the flow sensor, RF transmitter and RF receiver. Installation no longer requires expensive trenching, drilling, or digging to install power or I/O wiring. The self powered flow sensor / transmitter unit performs flow measurement and scaling. The unit transmits a total flow value via an RF
transmitter. The total flow value is received approximately every 4 seconds. A pulse output can then be programmed for different volume units and pulse widths. Download brochure 350EV series. Download brochure 228PV series. Download brochure 350

Series 735 Flow Sensors
The Badger Meter Series 735 flow sensors feature a four bladed, rugged, non-fouling impeller. This non-magnetic sensing technology reduces drag and allows for quick changes to flow and a wide measurement range. As fluid turns the impeller, a low impedance square wave signal is transmitted with a frequency proportional to flow rate.
This signal can travel up to 2000’ between the flow sensor and the display unit or controller input without the need for amplification. The 735 Series flow sensors offer an inexpensive option to metal tee sensors in the ½”, ¾” or 1” sizes. Download printable brochure.
