     About

Badger Meter/Data Industrial - Badger Meter’s impeller products and water flow sensors are used to measure liquids in a variety of industrial and commercial markets. These insertion and inline impeller meters serve a wide range of markets including irrigation, HVAC, energy management, water treatment, fire fighting apparatus and general industrial. Additionally, Badger manufactures and markets Btu monitors and transmitters that are compatible with virtually all energy management systems. The Impeller Products division also offers wireless RF flow sensors to the turf and agricultural irrigation markets utilizing its years of expertise in the Automatic Meter Reading market. Data acquisition and data management systems are also offered either by direct wire connections or via a wireless mesh network technology.

Badger 3000 Series Compact Digital Flow Meter

3000/3100 Series Compact Digital Flow Monitor

An economical, compact digital monitor displays flow rate and flow total on alphanumeric display. Calibration, selection of measurement units and output programming is menu driven using keypad.

The Badger Meter Models 3000 and 3100 are economical, full featured and digital flow monitors. Model 3100 is dual channel.

The monitor has a NEMA 4X rated front panel and conforms to DIN Standard dimensions, 96 mm X 96 mm, for meter sizes and panel cutouts. A version of the Series 3000 is also available in a NEMA 4 wall mount configuration.

Like all Badger Meter flow monitors, the Models 3000 and 3100 can be field calibrated by the user. Impeller sensors are calibrated by entering "K" and offset numbers, while other pulse or frequency output sensors may only use a "K" factor. These models accept pulse, sine wave, and 4-20 mA analog input signals.

Programming is menu driven. All data is entered using the LCD/keypad interface. A password gate is included to prevent unauthorized access to system parameters. Programming flexibility is extended to units of measure.

The monitor provides two pulse outputs to interface with external data collection devices that accept electronic pulses. The resolution of this signal may be programmed via the user interface.

All calibration information, units of measure and flow totals are stored in a non-volatile memory that does not require battery back-up for data retention.

Option:

• Analog and communication option card
 - 4-20 mA output
 - RS485 with Modbus and BACnet Protocols
 - USB interface for unit programming

Badger 3050 Series BTU Monitor

3050 Series BTU Monitor

Provides an accurate measurement of total thermal energy along with temperature and liquid flow in closed pipe systems. The Btu meter has all of the features and programming flexibility of the Model 3000 flow monitor with the added ability to accept temperature inputs from thermistors or rtds.

The Badger Meter 3050 Energy Monitor is an economical full featured compact unit designed for sub-metering applications.

The 3050 provides a display of Energy Rate, Energy total, or Flow Rate. The 3050 display can be configured by the user to display Energy Rate in kBtu/hr or kW; Energy total in Btu or kWh; and Flow Rate in gpm or liters/m.

The unit requires two 10 K ohm thermistors, or 100 ohm RTD's for temperature input. The flow sensor input can be any Impeller sensor or any other pulse or sine wave signal flow sensor.

The monitor meter has a NEMA 4X rated front panel and conforms to DIN Standard dimensions, 96 mm X 96 mm, for meter sizes and panel cutouts. A versions of the Series 3000 is also available in a NEMA 4 wall mount configuration.
